A tile installation technique in which adhesive mortar is applied to the back face of the tile in addition to the substrate, ensuring full contact coverage and eliminating voids beneath the tile. It is mandatory for natural stone and large-format porcelain installations where hollow spots beneath the tile would lead to cracking under load.
